If you are in need of prayer please come to the front of the sanctuary following this morning’s worship service where you will be met by the pastor and some of the deacons for the laying on of hands and prayer.
Mid Week Bible Study: Each Wednesday morning throughout most of the year some of us have gathered for Bible Study and fellowship. We meet to study the Lectionary texts that Rev. George will be preaching from. Usually there is an Old Testament lesson, a Psalm, an Epistle and a Gospel lesson each week. We will be chatting about them and perhaps influencing the direction of the Sunday sermon. We encourage all who are available to join us. This is a rich time of fellowship and very often laughter and fun. All are welcome to meet on Wednesday morning from 10 to 11:30am.
Attention Retirees: We will meet next on Thursday, May 15. Our format will be the usual — worship service at 11:15am followed by dinner at noon and then a guest speaker at 1:00pm. Please sign up in advance by calling Olive Gorman at 525-8813.
Helping Hands: On the third Saturday afternoon of each month members and friends of FPMBC meet at the church and travel together to the Springfield Rescue Mission to prepare and serve a dinner there. Our next date is this coming Saturday, May 17. If you plan on helping but have not yet signed up for this date please contact Don Bozoglos at 734-1822.
