The church grows through the action of the Holy Spirit.The Holy Spirit calls, evokes, prods, and pushes the church into new life in every age.Yet sometimes that growth is a problem for the church.Do we want to grow in the ways that Jesus would have us grow?Do we want to welcome those people who the Holy Spirit has invited into our church?Do we want to walk in those places where we are being led?These are particularly Pentecostal questions for the church. Our faithful response to the love of God calls for planning, thoughtfulness, and study.But it is completely dependent on the Holy Spirit for energy, enthusiasm, and a breath of fresh air.Let us pray for the new life that God?s Holy Spirit can bring to us.
